The 2025 edition of the Nunavut Trade Show and Conference introduces a refreshed format shaped by a new venue, a more focused program, and a renewed commitment to delivering value for attendees and exhibitors.
What’s Changing
· A New Venue
We’re moving from the Arctic Winter Games Arena to the Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Centre. This change provides us the opportunity to host our full program under one roof while experiencing some of Iqaluit’s best hospitality.
· A More Focused Program
The conference is being condensed into a single day of speakers and sessions. We’ll have fewer speakers but more focused content. Speakers and panels will be carefully selected to address real priorities for businesses operating in Nunavut.
· A Redesigned Trade Show
The trade show will be more compact. We’ve shifted from a two-day schedule to an afternoon of business-to-business traffic, followed by a morning open to the public.
· Off-Site Excursions
We’re organizing excursions that will take attendees into the community to see the businesses, projects, and locations shaping economic development in the Qikiqtani region. These guided visits will offer a closer look at what’s happening on the ground and a chance to hear directly from the people making it happen.
What’s Not Changing
While the format may be evolving, the core of the Nunavut Trade Show and Conference remains the same.
· Keynote Events
Our keynote breakfasts and luncheons continue to feature influential speakers who bring insight, inspiration, and perspective to the issues shaping Nunavut’s future.
· Networking Opportunities
The social and professional connections that define this event are still front and centre. From the meet and greet, to group outdoor events and the gala and auction, there are plenty of chances to connect, celebrate, and collaborate.
· A Focus on supporting our communities
This event has always been about more than business. That’s not changing. The Gala and Auction will once again raise funds for local causes, helping to support young leaders and strengthen the community around us.
This Year’s Theme: Adapting. Advancing. Achieving.
Adapting. Advancing. Achieving. captures the spirit of this year’s Trade Show and Conference — a territory-wide reflection of how Nunavut’s business community continues to move forward. It speaks to the persistence, creativity, and momentum behind the work being done across the Qikiqtani region and beyond.
This year’s event will explore what progress looks like on the ground: how businesses are adapting to shifting conditions, how communities are advancing shared priorities, and how real achievements are being made through collaboration and commitment. The theme will carry through the entire program — from conference sessions and keynote events to the tradeshow floor and excursions.
